Puppy Training & Socialization Class:
$ 80.00 for the six-week class.

This is a six-week class for puppies aged 9-1/2 weeks to
5-1/2 months.  In this class, puppies are taught
beginning, basic commands, including but not limited to,
‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘come’, ‘wait’, ‘off & take it’.  Additionally,
during this class, puppies are allowed supervised “free
play” with the other puppies in the class and their
handlers, helping them to develop good socialization
skills.

Pet Manners Class:
$ 95.00 for the eight-week class.

This is an eight-week class for dogs aged 6 months and
older.  There is no “free play” with classmates, rather,
this class is conducted entirely on-leash.  The class
covers all the basic manners commands, and the
handlers and dogs are drilled extensively on loose-leash
walking (“heeling”)—wear comfortable shoes and
clothing!

Playful Pet Manners Class:
$60.00 for the four-week class.

This is a four-week class for dogs having completed
RiverDog’s Pet Manners, or other local trainers’ adult
obedience classes. This class involves fun and games to
hone obedience skills in an interesting and refreshing
format.  Many of the games are performed off-leash, so
only well-socialized, non-aggressive dogs may attend.
This class has proven to be great fun!

Tricks Class:
$60.00 for the four-week class.

COMING MAY 2008 - CALL FOR CLASS DATE/TIME

Agility Fundamentals Class:
$ 70.00 for the six-week class.

This is a prerequisite class for Beginning Agility I
(below).  In this six-week class dogs and handlers are
taught the beginning basics of agility, safety in the use of
the equipment, and are taught to "target" by touch with
nose or paw, are introduced to the motion of a teeter by
the use of a Buja Board, and are introduced to single
jumps and tunnels.  This class sets you up for Beginning
Agility, where dogs are then introduced to the A-frame;
Dog Walk; Spread Jumps; Broad Jump and Teeter (if dog
has mastered Buja Board in the Intro class).

Beginning Agility I:
$ 95.00 for the six-week class.

This is a six-week class in which dogs and handlers are
introduced to the remaining Agility equipment (except for
weave polls), as set out above in the Intro Class
information.  In this class, handlers and dogs are
reminded of safety in the use of the equipment as well as
the names of all the equipment.   Dogs and handlers are
able to start on the equipment from the first lesson.  This
is a good way to find out if you and/or your dog have the
“Agility Bug”.

Beginning Agility II:
$90.00 for the five-week class.

This is a five-week class in which dogs and handlers will
be introduced to the Weave Polls and work on fine tuning
their runs.  Handlers and dogs will work on hand signals,
front and rear crosses, timing, speed, and "guest
instructors" who currently run their dogs in trials will be
on hand to lend their guidance and expertise.

Additionally, graduates of RiverDog's Beginning Agility II
Classes (or other trainers' beginning agility classes) are
eligible to join our new Agility Club
"The RiverDog
Scramblers".  (However, the class must have been
completed within three months of joining the club, and
graduates of other trainers' classes must be evaluated
for level of skill.)
 Members currently meet on Saturdays
and Mondays and have open practice, working on skills.
Trainers on hand to lend guidance for those desiring
further instruction.  Membership does not guarantee
practice will be held
every Saturday or Monday.  If all
Scrambler Leaders attend the same Agility Trial, practice
will be cancelled.
Member fees are as follows:
Yearly dues:  $25 (non-refundable); Yearly dues are
due and payable January 1, of each year, and are not
pro-rated.
Practice fees as follows:  Single members $10 per
visit; Same household couples, $15 per visit.  Practice
